“SNOOKER EXHIBITION” ------ Stephen Lee

World Professional Snooker player Stephen Lee (England) performed a Snooker Exhibition in Q-Sports Academy Sports Club Fintona last Thursday night (24th January) which turned out to be a brilliant night with a superb turnout of spectators who attended and supported the evening.

Stephen was a through professional making time for each and every player and also giving great time to all spectators by signing autographs and taking photo’s..............11 players from different areas challenged this great player.

Q-Sports Academy Sports Club provided food for all players, friends, guests and spectators which was highly praised by everyone on the night and also Stephen.

RAFFEL:
A raffle took place on night the with the main prize being a signed snooker cue by Stephen Lee which was won by Stephen Bennett who kindly donated it back to the club for another Under-12 competition.

U-12 SNOOKER COMPETITION:
Great turnout of 20 young players entered the Under-12 Snooker Competition held recently at Q-Sports Academy Fintona and kindly sponsored by Niall Welsh from Corbally Mobile Fun Farm with the semi-finals & final played during the exhibition in front of over 80 spectators.

The tournament was won by young Frank Mallon from Armagh who played some fantastic snooker through the tournament to be crowned champion.

SEMI-FINALS:
Frank Mallon (Armagh) bt Ryan Devine (Tyrone)
Owen O’Brien (Tyrone) bt Nathan Gormley (Tyrone)

FINAL:
Frank Mallon (Armagh) bt Owen O’Brien (Tyrone)

THANKS:
A big thank-you to all the players, all the helpers, Pizza Place for providing the food, Stephen Bennett who refereed all matches including the U-12 competition, Cathal Donnelly and Darren McGaughey who took care of the door, the brilliant turnout of spectators who turned up and making it a very enjoyable night and last but no way lease a special thanks to Stephen Lee (England) who was a true professional throughout the exhibition.
